The Forge is strong with this one.
A rascal cat is ready to pick up where Mini Waz left off, spotlighting some sparkling Forge gems so you don't have to sift through the silt yourself.
"Hello fellow community members. Today I will be featuring dmg04's map,
Progression. For starters, I would just like to say that I will hopefully be continuing where Mini Waz left off. He has left us for a while, so he has given me the privilege of continuing his map spotlight. My goal is to seek out, and feature the most brilliant maps in Halo: Reach. So, lets get started.
I would like to begin today's spotlight by saying that I highly enjoyed dmg's map. In my honest opinion, this map works best with 8-12 players, but it certainly does well with 16 players.
There are two initial bases, each with one Revenant, and one Mongoose. Aside from those two vehicles, there isn't much else within, or around the two bases, except for a Sniper (180 second spawn), and a plasma pistol on either side of the bases.
If you continue on into the middle, lower ground you will find a Concussion Rifle with with 6 rounds, and a 180 second spawn time. From the middle you well find a lift that will take you up to the mid level of the middle base. From here you will be able to continue on to the top level, where there will be various directions in which to go. From the middle base, there are several bridges, that can take you through the middle, and towards the far rocks by red base, or the rocks above the blue base.
Ha, well -- I suppose that's a good enough description. If you would like a preview of the map, feel free to watch this
fly through that dmg was so kind to provide us with.
This map is currently meant for Slayer only, and best with either 6v6, or 8v8. From personal experience I would say that most of the gameplay goes on on the upper most level, around the rocky areas, and the bridges.
Lastly, I suppose I'll just give a shout out to dmg, and the ladies, and gents over at The T00L B0X. You guys are great, and without your support, this spotlight might not have come to fruition! I give you my sincerest gratitude!
Thank you for your time, and be sure to leave any constructive criticism, and positive feedback you deem necessary.
Cheers!
:)"
